World Is Open Conference eLearning Speaker about The World
As the eLearning openers reveal themselves, you will see that the learning world is open. For example, it is open with open software. It is open with open educational resources. It opens with open courseware from MIT and other conferences. It is time to understand this open world and take advantage of it. As world population counts skyrocket, electronic education becomes the one automatic that is available at a reasonable cost to everybody in the world. We may run out of land, energy resources, and ice at the poles, but we will not have a shortage of educational resources and speakers. In the midst of controversial books and seemingly dire environmental situations, I will try to relay a somewhat optimistic tale. After that, the final chapter will look back as well as ahead to educational possibilities in the Web of Learning.

World Is open suggests that I am sitting here from an opening at Indiana University, I find myself among them. I am no Indiana Jones. I can be learning from their open experiences almost as instantaneously as they are thanks for the World. If you prefer to be there physically, you could openly sign up for such experiences. In effect, the world is open. It is open to provide firsthand accounts of what you have learned. It is open to learn from others in every corner of the world. It is open to speakers located at any eLearning conference. It is open to us with a plethora of free and open source software, learning portals, free online courses, and scanned e-books. It is open to use through mobile, wireless, wearable, and alternate world technology. The learning world is open through new forms of online collaboration and interaction. The real world is far too technologically open. However, we need not really simply on openness or traditional forms of education because the world is open. This triple convergence involves a flattened playing field, new players within that playing field, and a change in business management processes. For example, after centuries of vertical, authority-driven business hierarchies, there is now a more horizontal form of management structure in business. The open learning allows for learning to be worldly and on demand. Learning speakers attend conferences when and where they need to attend conferences.
As indicated by the stories at the start of the World Is Open book, individuals visiting even the most remote regions of the world are able to share their experiences with a world-wide audience. You can hire eLearning expert Professor Curtis Bonk to speak at your conference.
